At Merit Ontario, we’re proud to announce that our Apprenticeship Program is growing—and we’re now sponsoring apprentices in nine skilled trades!

This expansion means more opportunities for employers to train the next generation of skilled trades professionals with the full support of a trusted Group Sponsor. Whether you’re a small business or a larger construction company, we’re here to simplify the apprenticeship journey so you can focus on hands-on training while we handle the rest.


What Does Merit Ontario Bring to the Table?

As an approved Group Sponsor in Ontario, Merit Ontario takes the guesswork and paperwork out of the apprenticeship process. We offer employers a structured, supportive framework to help apprentices stay on track and succeed in their training—from registration to certification.

We now sponsor apprentices in the following trades:

  • General Carpenter (403A)
  • Electrician – Construction & Maintenance (309A)
  • Sheet Metal Worker (308A)
  • Plumbing (306A)

  • Residential Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic (313D)
  • Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A)

How We Support Employers and Apprentices
