Session 1: Understanding the Big Picture

Site Operations for Leadhands and Frontline Leaders is a practical construction leadership training program designed for individuals stepping into or currently working in site leadership roles.

Session 1: Understanding the Big Picture introduces how construction projects are structured, managed, and executed from both a business and field perspective. Learners will explore how projects move from bidding to site execution, how responsibilities are shared across teams, and how Leadhands contribute to project success from day one.

This session also covers legal responsibilities under Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and emphasizes the importance of communication, planning, and leadership at the start of every project.

Session 2: Site Setup and Operational Leadership

Session 2 focuses on the practical execution of construction site setup and coordination. This session teaches Leadhands and frontline leaders how to effectively mobilize a job site, coordinate with contractors and trades, and implement structured systems for safe and efficient operations.

Learners will gain hands-on insight into site organization, safety planning, crew coordination, and documentation tools used in modern construction environments.

Session 3: Leading Daily Site Operations

Session 3 focuses on day-to-day construction site leadership and productivity management. This session equips Leadhands and frontline leaders with the tools to plan, prioritize, and lead daily operations while maintaining safety, efficiency, and documentation standards.

Learners will develop skills in crew leadership, inspections, reporting, material coordination, and managing site documentation, ensuring projects stay on track and compliant.
