Course Overview

This course provides information, usage, best practices, and safety guidelines when using VR devices. Virtual Reality (VR) is a computer-generated simulation of a three-dimensional image, creating an environment where users interact in simulated real-world experiences.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Recognize the potential health hazards associated with using VR technology
  • Apply best practices to ensure the safe usage of VR devices
  • Recognize the features and usage of the Oculus Quest 2 and Pico Neo 3 VR headsets

Course Format

  • Delivery Mode: Self-directed online study with 24/7 access to individual learner accounts on a user-friendly LMS.
  • Platform Compatibility: Accessible on laptop, desktop, and mobile devices using all browsers and the Brightspace Pulse App (available in the App Store and Google Play).

Certification and Assessment

  • Assessment: Minimum 80% score required on the final assessment to receive certification.
  • Certification: A digital Certificate of Completion is generated and stored within the LMS platform. A downloadable and printable PDF version is available.
  • Duration: Approximately 15–30 minutes
