This wildlife awareness training course provides workers with basic awareness of wildlife hazards that may be encountered on construction, utility, maintenance, and outdoor work sites. Participants will learn to recognize common wildlife risks, understand typical animal behaviours, and apply safe work practices to reduce the risk of injury, illness, or property damage.
The course covers key preventive measures such as maintaining situational awareness, avoiding wildlife encounters, properly managing food and waste, and knowing when and how to report wildlife concerns. It supports safe work practices for environments where wildlife exposure may occur.
This is an awareness-level course and does not replace site-specific controls, wildlife management plans, or professional wildlife services.
